xPort is the most efficient backup tool for your iPod, it enables you to
export songs from your iPod to your computer without loosing any rating, because
it is able to recognize your playlists. Accomplishing that exportation is
summarised in a few clicks. This program can also create an internal list
that contains the songs you want to export; it includes a lyrics search, has
the capacity to make a text listing of your database and gives you the possibility
to create m3u playlists. This software is compatible with all iPods and supports
all the file formats (MP3/AAC).
xPort is distributed in a file called xPort.exe for window users and xPort.jar
for others users (MAC & Linux). It requires a Java JDK /JRE 1.2 (or later)
runtime to be functional.
To run xPort, you normally only have to double-click on it, this version is
not running on linux.
- Java Virtual Machine (JVM)
http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_xpi.jsp,
- Any Operating System (Window, Mac),
- Processor 166 Mhrz or faster,
- At least 64 MB RAM,
- 1 MB free space to install the software,
- Free Space to copy the songs,
- (Optional) iPod with playlists on it.
Upgrading your old version is simple; you only need to replace the file xPort.exe or xPort.jar with the new one.
